My name is Sydni, and I have been one of the trainers here at K9 Unified since October 2024.  I have a Bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College in Animal Studies and Psychology. 

Since childhood, my passion has always been animals. More specifically animal education, advocacy, and welfare. (Thank you, Steve Irwin) I have prior experience as a chair member for Eckerd College’s Pet Life, a lead attendant in dog daycare, and a department educator at an AZA accredited zoo. 

While finishing my Bachelor’s degree, my Capstone project focused on animal-assisted interventions. More specifically, honing in on the mutualistic human-animal bond. I have always known that my greater purpose is to not only educate, but to help others build upon personal relationships with their own animals. Here at K9 Unified, I happily fulfill this goal daily! 

In my free time, I enjoy reading books of all genres, running, spending time with my friends and family, and watching women’s sports.
